When is the Tasting Room taking place?

Where will the Tasting Room be?

In the Festival Fairground, the area which will be the heart of the event. After your tasting, check out Stickybeak Station, Collaboration Corner, Product Snap Lab, and Brand Story Studio! Make sure you are in the audience for the highly anticipated CPG Investor Pitch competition at 4 pm.

Note on preparing your product:

  • Use Scientia kitchen before your session if needed.

  • Available facilities: microwave, cool room, and washing area.

  • No freezer on site.

  • Oven use is possible, but must be specifically requested at least 1 week before the Festival.

  • The kitchen is shared and overseen by Tasting Room staff.

  • Each user is responsible for thoroughly cleaning the areas they use.

Do I need to buy a ticket for a seat with the Tasting Room experts?

Yes, you cannot meet with the Tasting Room at the Festival without a Festival ticket and a Tasting Room ‘add on’ ticket. This is a valuable opportunity to get direct feedback from buyers. One ticket is required per brand, not per person, for the ‘Room.’ Tickets to both the Festival and the Tasting Room are sold as long as space and seats, respectively, are available.

What will be my time slot with the Tasting Room experts?

Ticket holders are required to come to the Tasting Room in the Festival Fairground at the beginning of the day and book their time slot with the Tasting Room staff. Make sure you get there early to nab your preferred time to work around other exciting activities at the Festival, such as pitching to buyers (if you applied and were successful), workshops with industry specialists, talks on the Dream Lab stage or one of our many other activities that will blow your mind.

Do I need to buy a ticket for a seat with the Tasting Room experts if my brand buddy already has one?

No. Everyone needs a ticket to enter the Festival, but if you’re part of a brand team and one person has already bought a ‘Tasting Room’ ticket, then you can both take a seat with the tasters on the ‘Tasting Room’ at the same time.

Please note, the time allocation is the same as it would be for a one-to-one ‘Tasting Room’ experience, there is no additional time for multiple brand representatives, unless you grab an additional ‘Tasting Room’ ticket.

The Tasting Room is a great opportunity to get direct feedback from buyers to accelerate your product development and refine your product before launch.

I have a ticket to Tasting Room already, what do I need to bring?
  • Product samples: Bring enough samples for up to 3 people per session. Chilling is available in the cool room, and you can use the microwave if heating is needed. There is no freezer on site. If you require oven use, this must be requested by 14 May 5pm AET with “Use of oven” as the subject line of your email.

  • Product variants/SKUs: If showcasing different variants, limit to 2–3 samples so buyers can give each product thoughtful consideration.

  • Serving utensils or receptacles as needed for your product (e.g., spoons for condiments).

  • Notes or brochures about your product.

  • Tickets: Bring your Festival ticket and Tasting Room add-on ticket.
